Samford Waterfall

It can’t rain all the time

OK, so I borrowed the title of this blog from the wise words of Eric Draven (See also The Crow) but after so long without rain, this week feels like it is just going to rain and then rain some more.

It was one of those “Seemed like a good idea at the time” things with the rain clearing but the showers persisted right up to the time we were at the Cedar Creek Falls. The rain made the mossy rocks SUPER slippery and that meant taking a bit of a shortcut to avoid broken bones and smashed skulls.

Diana came along for the hike and ended up starring in my 10 photo panorama of the falls from half-way up. I really love having people in panoramas.

The water was flowing really well, the best I’ve seen there but it did prevent hiking too much further. I got a few hand-held long exposure photos and panoramas.

It is such a beautiful place. I can’t wait to go back.
